Кордоба, дваCordoba, two
Продолжаю рассказ о выходных, проведённых в этом жарком южном городе. Проснувшись с утра пораньше, я отправился искать офис туристической информации, узнать, как добраться до развалин Медины аль-Захра.

Выяснилось, что до Медины ходит два автобуса в день: утром, около 10:00, и после обеда, в районе 16:00 (точное время не помню). Билет на этот автобус, включающий визит в Медину, купить можно только в офисе туристической информации. На первый рейс я уже опоздал, поэтому взял билеты на второй. Заодно, мне предложили бесплатное приглашение на шоу «Свет. Вода. Музыка.» в парке кордобского замка, которое я, конечно, сразу же взял.
Времени до визита в Медину было ещё полно. Я принялся бродить по городу, чтобы убить время.

Зашёл в руины арабских бань:

а в прошлом они были весьма богато декорированы и использовались местными властями для важных переговоров.
Неподалёку нашлось здание королевских конюшен. По вечерам там устраивают конные представления (стоит евро 15), а днём внутрь можно зайти за бесплатно:

и в крытом помещении.
Вдоль стоил, в которых есть кони, лежат картонные коробки. Не знаю, зачем, возможно они в них навоз собирают?
Наездники ухаживают за лошадьми и готовят их к тренировке.
Оказывается, конь может стоять аж вертикально на двух ногах :)
Из конюшни прошёл чуть дальше и попал в небольшой райончик с симпатичными домиками в местном стиле, стоящими сплошными рядами вдоль двух длинных улиц. Поскольку, проходов между домов там не было, пришлось пройти весь район насквозь до второго выхода.
Оказался у ещё одного отрезка крепостной стены, которую начал обходить по внешней стороне. Вокруг не было ни души, поскольку температура на улице была аж за сорок, а обходить эту стену оказалось весьма прилично по расстоянию :)
За стеной, кстати, находится парк кордобского замка, на вечернее свето-музыкальное шоу в котором меня пригласили.
Наконец, обойдя стену, вернулся обратно в центр:

Тут уж пришло обеденное время, и я зашёл перекусить в первый встреченный ресторанчик, в котором просили в районе 10€ за полный обед. Особенно понравился местный, насколько я понял, супчик Сальморехо (Salmorejo): холодное густое томатное пюре с яйцом, и копчёным мясом — рекомендую.
После обеда направился к отелю принять душ и передохнуть от жары перед поездкой в Медину. По пути снова снимал улочки города:

So here I’m continuing the story about the weekend spent in this hot city at South of Spain. After waking up early in the morning, I headed to look for a touristic information office, to ask them how to get to the ruins of Medina Al-Zahra.

It turned out that there are just two buses a day to the Medina: one in the morning, around 10:00, and the next one after lunch, about 16:00 (I don’t remember the times exactly). The bus ticket includes the visit to the Medina site and can be purchased at the touristic information office only. Because I was already too late for the first bus, I took ticket for the later one. Also I got a free invitation to a temporary “Light. Water. Music” show at the part of Cordoba castle in the evening.
There was a lot of time to wait till the bus, so I started to walk around the city to kill my free time.

There I have visited some ruins of Arabic baths:
Nowadays the site doesn’t look very nice,…
but in the past it was very well decorated and used for official ceremonies and meetings.
Nearby I have found the building of royal stables. At evenings there is a horses show (with the price about 15€), but during the day it is possible to enter inside for free and even to see some horses in action during their training:

Along the stables with horses inside there stay the line of boxes. Not sure for what purpose are they there. To collect dung from horses, probably?

I didn’t know that a horse is able to stay vertically at the two feet only :)
From the stables I walked further and come to a small district of nice houses in local style, staying in few rows along two long streets. There was no passages between the buildings, so I had to walk through all the district till the next exit from it.
Here I have arrived to another survived part of the city wall, which I started to walk around the outer side. There was nobody around, due to hot weather (about 40 degrees), and quite a large distance to walk around that wall :)
By the way, behind the wall is the castle park where the show to which I was invited was going to take place.
Finally, after the walk around the wall I have arrived back to the city center:

Here came the lunch time and I went to eat in the first reasonable restaurant on my way, where the lunch offer was for 10€. Especially I enjoyed there local cold soup Salmorejo, which is a tomato puree with eggs and some bacon. So I recommend you to try it if you are in the city.
After the lunch I headed back to the hotel to take a shower and to have some rest before the ride to Medina. On my way I was again taking picture of the city streets:
